Winter greetings as we move into 2023 and each day brings a few more minutes of sunlight. I’ve just posted the Winter eNews that includes ways each of us can connect to our winter wonderland in North Central Washington. Download your free 2023 calendar filled with original art, part of the the Pollinator Power Party initiative.

Please join me in welcoming 22 new Wenatchee Naturalists – Meet the Class of 2022 in this slideshow. As you see these new Wenatchee Naturalists out-and-about, say hello: Ayla Medina Ulloa, Carrie Pruitt, Chad Henderson, Chris Clark, Deb Bumgarner, Dee Butcher, Derrell Ness, Elizabeth Sollie, Jane Lee, Karen Haire, Kay Lisch, Lola Kemp, Kirk Beckendorf, Mary Austin, Milt Douglas Michelle Sutherland, Monica Valle, Nancy Dunn, Patti McGaughey, Pierre Dawson, Shellee Heron, and Shelly Forster.

During 2022, three Wenatchee Naturalists earned their 20+ Volunteer Hour pins and bandanas: Two served as Community Science Volunteers: Christy Nielson served with the NCWAS Kestrel Nestbox Project and Tom Ettinger with the Cascades Carnivore Project. Bob Doolittle volunteered for Place-based Education with the Wenatchee Valley Museum’s youth and education programs.

All year long, I invite you to explore this website to find resources to enhance your experiences within the Wenatchee Watershed.

Registration will open in August, 2023, for the next 12-week Wenatchee Naturalist course, offered by Wenatchee Valley College Continuing Education Department. I look forward to being part of next fall’s learning community.
